Dear Campers
and Parents,
Campers who are in touch with their natural world are healthier, perform better in school and have better self images. Camp Winnebago's trained and dedicated staff, strive to ignite your child’s interests in the outdoor and help them to experience the benefits of being connected with nature!
Our theme for this summer is "No Child Left Inside" based on the popular book Last Child in the Woods: Saving our Children from nature deficit disorder, so we'd like to challenge your child to turn off the computers, televisions or video games and explore with us! With 150 acres of woods, streams, prairies, marshes, ponds and a natural spring, Camp Winnebago can provide an exciting and unforgettable experience for the summer.
Time proven activities such as archery, creek study, canoeing and teamwork provides endless opportunities to improve self esteem and make friends that last a lifetime. Camp programs include traditional day camps, kinder camps, adventure camps, sports camps, and enrichment camps. There is something for everyone at Camp Winnebago!
We understand that many families may be faced with tougher economic constraints than in previous years. We truly believe that every child should be able to have an unforgettable camp experience and that is why NO family is turned away from camp just because the family budget is too tight. If you feel that you can’t afford Summer Camp, please contact Mary at 815-489-1194 for financial assistance information.
Respectfully
Brad Cripe
